Motherhood is one long lesson of surrendering and learning as you go. One of the things I didn’t realize would be so challenging to learn was breastfeeding. It is the most natural thing in the world for us mammals, and yet it comes with a steep learning curve.

There are moments in life that divide everything into two parts: before and after. The birth of my daughter was one of those moments. It was one of the most intense, raw, beautiful, and transformative experiences of my life. It stretched me to my physical and emotional limits, and at the same time, showed me a strength I didn’t know I had.
